Clear.FAQ

CLEAR ANSWERS

Questions worth asking.

Is Clear a fact-checking authority?

No. Clear is an open-method AI research experiment. It evaluates claims against available evidence and can be wrong. Read the sources before relying on a label.

Does Clear judge creators?

No. Clear evaluates the specific claim submitted, not the person or account that posted it. There are no creator ratings, comments, or pile-ons.

Why are there five verdicts?

Supported, Misleading, False, Unverified, and Opinion separate evidence outcomes from presentation. Clear's personality changes the wording, never the factual conclusion.

What is free?

Signed-in accounts receive three fresh work units in a rolling seven-day window. Reusing a current cached check is free. The anonymous beta remains available while account rollout is disabled.

What happens when a check fails?

Failed and no-claim checks are refunded to the user balance. Clear's platform compute monitor still records provider work so operating costs remain visible.

Are payments live?

Not until Clear's payment switch is enabled after Razorpay order, signature, webhook, refund, and reconciliation tests pass.

Can published research be corrected?

Yes. Every article can be reported through Corrections. Clear can revise, version, or remove a published analysis without deleting the submitter's private history.
