This policy describes how Sintax Error Private Limited (“Clear”, “we”) processes information when you use SendToClear.com or the Send to Clear Shortcut.

Information we process

The public social-media URL you submit and publicly available post data such as creator username, caption, thumbnail, media type, dates, images, audio, and video needed for analysis.
If accounts are enabled, identity data supplied by Clerk, such as your account identifier, email, display name, profile image, and sign-in state. Clear does not receive your Google password.
A random device identifier stored on your device and one-way hashes of device/network identifiers for usage limits, legacy migration, security, fraud prevention, and credits.
Private account history, result status, free and paid credit balances, credit ledger entries, payment order and reconciliation metadata, and scoped Shortcut credentials if introduced. We do not store full card details.
Result, evidence, sources, feedback, correction or rights requests, optional contact information, privacy-conscious analytics events, incidents, and basic server logs.

Why we process it

To provide and improve claim checking, publish eligible permanent result pages, prevent abuse, maintain credits, answer grievances, correct errors, secure the service, and meet legal obligations.

Public results

Completed observations may be accessible to anyone who has their permanent URL. Eligible, adequately sourced factual observations may also appear in our public research archive, sitemap, search engines, and AI-assisted search results. They may identify the original public post and creator and display a neutral content summary, checked claim, evidence label, analysis, sources, and a stored preview thumbnail of the public post. Clear does not republish the full video or full caption on the result page. Do not submit private, access-controlled, intimate, or unlawfully obtained content.

Service providers and international processing

We use Clerk for account identity when enabled, Razorpay for payments when enabled, Convex for application data and background work, Hostinger and Cloudflare for delivery and security, Scrape Creators for public social-media extraction, OpenAI and fal.ai for media analysis and evidence research, and optional Google Analytics and Telegram operator alerts. These providers may process data outside India under their own safeguards and terms. We do not sell personal data or use check history to infer political, religious, health, or other sensitive preferences for advertising.

Retention

Research observations may remain accessible for continuity and correction history, but may be hidden or removed following a credible privacy, safety, copyright, creator, or legal request. Account, security, usage, analytics, payment, and incident records are retained only as reasonably needed to operate, reconcile, secure, and evaluate the service or meet legal obligations. Account deletion removes or de-identifies profile data where applicable; limited payment, fraud-prevention, correction, and legal records may be retained. Provider copies follow their own terms.

Research and organization access

We do not currently provide outside organizations access to raw user histories. Any future research access will require a separate review, data minimisation, appropriate anonymisation or aggregation, written use restrictions, and an updated notice before launch.

Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, erasure where applicable, withdrawal of consent, or grievance review by emailing [email protected]. Include the relevant URL and enough information to verify and fulfil the request. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Children

Clear is not intended for children under 18. Do not submit content about a child where doing so may expose, identify, or harm them.

Security

Keys remain server-side; identifiers used for limits are hashed; inputs and external URLs are validated; and public output is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so report concerns promptly.
